I bought this book (along with the other books in the series) to go along with our 4th grade unit on animal adaptations. My students LOVE them! I can hardly keep them on the book shelf of my classroom library! The illustrations are charming and even inspired several of my students to create their OWN illustrations of themselves with animal body parts. The author did a great job of teaching an important science concept in a funny, engaging way. I love these books so much that I just pre-ordered the next book in the series, which is coming out right as school is starting. These books would make a great addition to ANY collection, whether it's at home or at school or whether it's for learning or just for fun. You'll enjoy them for sure!

This is a great series featuring animal adaptations. All of my children ages 3-11 love these books. They are very fun to read and the images are great. I lover when learning is fun. I enjoyed this book as much as the children. I highly recommend this book to other parents. I purchased this book first and my children kept asking for others in the series because they loved them so much. We read this together as a family.

I read this last week to my grandson's 2nd grade class, and they loved it!!!! I did something that made it more fun, I think. The format of this book is the left side has the "non-fiction" facts about a particular animal, and the right page, has a picture of a child with that animal's teeth. To keep the "surprise," I covered the right side of the book so the class couldn't see the picture of child until they heard the fact page, and then I took the cover off. It worked exactly as I hoped! They loved the surprise rather than looking at that picture while I read the facts on the left. A real hit...

We love these books! My little boy can’t get enough! He’s 4 & wants all of them and I agree! They are so interesting and the illustrations are fantastic! Imaginative, fun way to share wondeful things about various animals! These books would be great for a wide range of ages! I read bits and pieces to my 4 year old but as he gets older we can really discuss more about the book and the various things about it! It will really grow with us!

Great books, I was very surprised they have cute little fun facts and they really make you giggle all my children ages 2-13 have enjoyed them. The older girls have been reading to the younger girls.We purchased 3 from the set so far and we will be ordering more. My 2nd grader took hers to school and the teacher LOVED THEM TOO. And the class have been reading them. 100% recommend them. Well made books also.

Love it! This is an adorable book that kept kids of many ages engaged. It also helped facilitate a love for reading - after I read the book, students took it out of the classroom library to read themselves. It was the most requested book! I would highly recommend this for any elementary science teacher, parent with a child who loves animals, or anyone who enjoys reading quality books to kids.

My children love this book. They love being able to visualize if they had different parts of an animal. The book has a simple statement on one side and more detail on the other page allowing you to differentiate depending on the children's abilities.

Very engaging for preschoolers and children through elementary school! I highly recommend all the books in the series. The "What if..." approach and illustrations make the interesting facts even more appealing and interesting to children. Kids would love to have this book and read it at home, and in the classroom there are so many possibilities to extend learning!

I skipped the memoir first half of the book. The second half is practical trading strategies, fundamental and technical analysis,and includes charts with notes to illustrate points. Nik Patel presents clear and unique strategies specifically made for the altcoin market. If you're a trader that's interested in small cap alts, you'll find some new strategies(volume spikes, orderbook reading) that are well worth the book's price.

I received this book just a few days ago. I took Nik's advice and can't be happier. Before, I was making trades and holding my fingers crossed. I lost more times than I won regrettably. But once I put his principles into play, it was nice to see that I was up...by a good bit. Love this book and the wisdom within.

First part of the book is mumbo jumbo personal story not much to be gained except the part about his security breach. However after his story I can't think of a tutorial or book that goes into such detail about how to be a successful crypto trader. Huge fan of this book and have recommended to a few of my friends already.

By far the best book re. Crypto. Exponential gains nearly exclusively derive from the strategies u elucidate. Knowing best use of time and where to deploy capital, invaluable.

Great book! Couldn’t stop reading and finished it over night. Great insight on how to look for alt coins and when to buy in their “accumulation” phase. Definitely see myself reading over the second half of the book again as a refresher on how to spot alt coin gems.

Nik is very intelligent but breaks down the trading concepts in a plain simple manner.An honest account of the trials and tribulations of trading crypto that reads part like a story and part like an instruction manual. Very good place to start out if you are considering getting into the crypto game. 5 stars!

Perhaps this shortcoming is in part because the authors' experience blinds them to some of the problems faced by inexperienced readers, and perhaps it is in part because it's a lot easier to tell someone what to do than to explain exactly how to do it, especially when there may be multiple approaches to acheiving the same result--more than one way to skin the cat.This book doesn't just tell you what your arguments, examinations, etc., should incorporate and achieve--it recognizes the difficulties in developing them and provides advice on how to go about making them effective and complete. The authors strive to anticipate and prevent the difficulties inexperienced readers may have, and they do not shy away from explicitly addressing the why's, how's, and how-to's.However, rather than giving you a step-by-step recipe to baking a cake, they extract and synthesize, identifying the stages that are important to baking every kind of cake--preparation, assembly, planning, execution, presentation, etc.-- and they explain to you the key considerations that are common to every good cake recipe at each of those stages.It's a relatively small, thin book and an easy read. Yet it's the kind of book you can benefit from reading multiple times and consulting again and again. With every read, you'll strengthen your understanding and skill set, and when you read it with a particular case in mind, new ideas will spring forth in the form of aha! moments.Yes, this book is better than sliced bread. It is not, however, perfect. I don't like the lack of negative space, and there's something about the organization that troubles me. (I can't quite put my finger on it.) It's also not exhaustive: Professor Moore, who I had the very good fortune to have as a professor at UCLA law, definitely supplemented, expounded, and illustrated considerably. About the Author

Gilbert Shelton, born in Dallas in 1940. At university in Austin he became editor of the student magazine, The Texas Ranger. This was to prove Shelton’s last ‘real job’. For in 1967, after contributing to various underground comix with his earliest character, Wonder Wart-Hog, and designing posters for rock concerts, Shelton created The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers. In 1969 he and some friends from Texas moved to San Francisco to set up Rip Off Press from where Freak Brothers strips were soon syndicated, borrowed (or stolen!) by a host of American underground newspapers and magazines. The first collection was published in 1971 and has since been joined by thirteen further Freak Brothers adventures. Fat Freddy’s Cat, the feline world’s number one cat, started out as a footnote strip to the Freak Brothers but has led an independent – and very successful – life since 1975. In 1993 Shelton introduced new characters, Not Quite Dead, the world’s least successful Rock Band who have since appeared in a series of comics of their own. Now 50 years later and unlike many cults from the sixties which have faded away, The Freak Brothers are still going from strength to strength. They are published in 15 languages and worldwide sales are now over 40 million copies plus millions of items of merchandise, T-shirts, postcards, badges, posters and more. Shelton currently lives in Paris, France with his wife and three cats.

All the memories that had been previously washed away by bong water. We bought these comics as they came out in the 70's at the local head shop. Our collection eventually burned in our old chicken coop based "Fort" in northern WI along with all our nudie mags and Sabbath albums. Imagine my juvenile burnout joy when I found this incredible collection on Amazon! It contains EVERYTHING I barely remember, plus more...even Fat Feddy's Cat strips at the bottom of the pages. Get out your reading classes and Geritol and enjoy this incredible flashback to better days.

I was born in 1977 and thus was too young to have any first-hand experiences with the 60-70s youth/drugs counter-culture, but my parents were semi-hippies at the end of that era. I was probably only around 7 or 8 when I first got into and read my father's small collection of Rip-Off Press comics and loved every minute of them, though I didn't quite get all the jokes, I could infer enough. Profanity! Nudity! Drugs! An evil version of Garfield the cat! I've been a fan ever since. I never touch drugs myself, but why would I need to when I can get high on laughing from reading and rereading the misadventures of Fat Freddy, Phineas, and Freewheelin' Franklin?Once I learned of this product's existence I knew that I had to buy one for myself. But I let my dad read it first. He deserved it.

I've always been a fan of Gilbert Sheldon's Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers since the early 70s, having to hide the comics from my parents for years. This tome is as thick as an old fashioned phone book and has ALL the adventures of our drugged out hippie trio. BUT one complaint I do have is some of the printing is hard to read cause its now smaller than the original comic release, you literally need a magnifying glass to read, especially with the Fat Freddy's Cat strips at the bottom.The one thing I do ask, they have a page of the alledged stop action film that was made in 2000, WHERE IS THIS FILM?? Not even IMDB has info on it!!I'm deducting a star for the difficult to read printing on some of the pages, otherwise I love it!

What a great book. All the freak brothers comix in one big lavish volume.If you are or ever were a Freak Brothers fan, look no further than this huge graphic novel. Never fear fat freddy's cat fans, he is included in this volume and just as funny as I remembered. What makes this so special,(to me at least) is the fact that these comics have been hard to come by and sorely missed. Not just for the gut busting hialrity they provide, at the antics this trio and thier cat get up to but that they bring me right back to the days, when I first picked up thier comics,in the 70's. It has 624 pages total and two sections in full color, on coated stock paper. The other pages are in black and white. There is a removable dust jacket which has a different illustration than the book cover(a coated stock paperback type cover)which is a nice touch.The only thing I would have done differently is to have the cover of each issue and then follow with that issues original stories in order.The way they set it up I'm not sure what order it is in. This may be nit picking but remember, I had the original issues.I highly recommend this.You will not be disappointed.

Just a tad smaller than a standard comic book size, but wonderful printing and good over all readability. A bargain - complete - it's 624 pages FCS ! :-) To get ALL the R Crumb stuff in reprint you'd have to spend hundreds (and I like Shelton lots better anyway).

I bought this as a nostalgia gift for my husband because he had fond memories of the comics from his younger hippie days. Unfortunately, we now live in a state where pot is illegal and he said it just reminds him of how much he wishes we were still living in Colorado.

I adore gilbert sheldon and the freak bros; especially as he developed his craft later in his career. they are LOL, BUT I bought this for the kindle...bad, BAD mistake: the format and fonts are all way too small to read without a struggle. I am going to try fiddling with my settings on the kindle but the windows reader doesn't seem to have any active tools for enlarging the text. I will come back and retract all this IF I can figure out how to fix it. for the time being: 5 stars because it's gilbert sheldon...NO stars because I can't read it. (I'll post 4 stars just so I don't hurt fat freddie's feelings).

I am of a generation who came of age during the underground comics heyday and stoner humor like the Freak Brothers cracked me up in those halcyon days of my youth.So, to take a walk down memory lane, I bought this book from one of the third party sellers and was not disappointed. It's a big heavy well made book with B&W and some color adventures of Fat Freddie, Phineas, and Freewheelin' Frank.Still got a laugh from some of those long-forgotten comics that brought back pleasant memories.
