Well color me speech less!!! I bought vulme five the day it came out just to have it as I have been keeping up with the web release. I went on to the web like 10 min ago to read today's update only to find out that that volume 5 made the best sellers list..... wtf!!!! I have been a big fan of the book since I bout the first volume on amazon when it came out, to finding the web series and reading that every week. And the hole time I was thinking "wow this book is just mind blowing!!! I can't believe no one knows about this" I took it upon my self to tell all my friends about it hoping they would join me on the great adventure. Sadly they never did read it but it warms my hart to see that this book is not only a best seller right now but having a bigger fan bass than I ever thought it had.
This book is another continuation of a very good novel that i love reading every week. this showed us basically another start of a very huge arc that will change the mc life and those around him. Training arcs check! (love training arcs), If there was one problem with this book as always and i will put this in all my reviews it leaves me desiring more. In this book the action is good we learned more about how mana works in this world, romance not much progress but increased maturity between the mc and his love interest. 5/5 for me only problem i have is slow release for such a dam good book c;
Really liked this book. Solid MC development. I just wish that some of the best scenes (development of Arthur's movement technique) didn't end up getting completely dumpstered. I want more of Tess and Arthur together, they've been separated almost the whole time since her introduction. Finally, please...cut out all the POVs from random side chars. I don't care. Keep it to the MC and maybe someone like Tess. Really disrupts my engagement.Overall though I think this is better than book 4, but not as good as books 1 & 2.
So, definitely not the first book you want to start off with, but I LOVE this series! there's a lot of technical stuff and updates on the war and not a lot of character or plot development...and then we get slammed with cliffhangers! And this book still gets a four because there's just enough movement to keep me going and now those cliffhangers aren't letting me go until I get that next book!
It was not my favorite the author took all the set-up and subplots and threw it all away and focused on the main plot. It was disappointing in my opinion. I liked it better when he used the subplots to further the story but now that was not my favorite of the series
while this is not exactly Litrpg, if you like that genre you will probably enjoy this. You'll need to start with the first book though.
Not quite as good as the previous books in the series. The book takes a more somber tone and has less innocence about it. There is just as much learning and discovery as previous books but less examples of his growing powers against actual opponents.
A much beter book then the previous one but agai an incredibly stupid ending. I don't know why the author is so addicted to bad endings but again it pretty much ruined the book for me.
