Please take the time out to read, reflecting your own past, and be truthful with yourself. John Lees book was recommended as homework by my current life coach. It was recommended after my husband and I need to seek some counseling for our marriage, and after he heard my husband speaking about his personal experiences the book came into play. This was our homework and it comes highly recommended by me which has done a lot of self-help and outside seminars for healing such as unleash the power within Marriage Boot Camp, life enrichment Boot Camp, and many others as well. I have been doing all different types of healing modalities throughout the years but this one was very new for me it is so crucial for you to do the work on your self in to find out how you regress in your life on a personal level along with other family members coworkers friends etc. Please read this and have an open heart. You’ll find that you’ll enhance your healing at a much faster rate once you do.

I would recommend this book to anyone trying to be a better fuctioning adult. If you interact with other adults or children. If you are trying to improve or give closure to a relationship. If you want to be a better employee or boss , a better teacher or student . This book put a certain perspective back in focus for me and is helping me communicate more clearly and understand others more fully.

I'm an anthropologist and also fellow Southerner, like the author, who moved across country at age 18 to get out of a quite dysfunctional household and has been on a long spiritual path since then to release the negative patterns I grew up with. I just read this book, Growing Yourself Back Up, this past month and it has immensely changed my life. I learned about the book from life coach Cheryl Richardson's radio show on Hay House Radio, when she mentioned it to a caller with abandonment issues. Not only has the book made me more compassionate towards myself, but it has also made me more compassionate towards my parents without necessarily excusing their behavior or mine. Moreover, I feel it will help me in my new career journey. I will soon be working with and advising young undergraduate researchers, many of who also, from my past experiences as a teaching assistant, have had the effect of pulling me into a regression zone. Thus, I really appreciated the chapter that the author added for the helping professions. Finally, I can already see how it has made me more compassionate to myself in regards to my relationship with my partner (who happens to be the youngest of five, so there's a lot of young child energy with my middle child energy, haha). The book's particular section on always remembering that adults have choices in staying in relationships was, perhaps, a major relief in this sense, as well as the idea that I can always excuse myself for a moment when I am angry, use that time to punch a pillow or walk around the lake, and then return to any discussion. This was especially important for me because we just finished a two-year stint of a long-distance relationship because of a postdoc I had after graduate school, and the stress and exhaustion from the situation (esp. travel) did produce major moments of regression on both our parts.That said, this book is a true gift to the world. It's definitely a book I am going to re-read and study many times. I will also integrate it in my mentoring with undergraduates. From my own experience, I've found that research is one of those stressful processes that can definitely trigger regression for both students and faculty (many of who are also big kids, as we know). Thus, thank you again, Dr. Lee, for this great book.

Excellent; excellent book. First of all, it's the most laymen-friendly book regarding this kind of topic I've ever read. It's not intimidating, aloof or lecturing...in fact, it reads as if you were having a casual discussion with a long-time friend. Second; The examples actually reflect what the author is describing and come from real-life situations - thus, making it far easier for the reader to integrate the knowledge into their own life. Finally, and most importantly; by the time you finish, you come to understand how huge a role regression can play in whatever your personal issues may be - whether it's involves relationships, communication, work-related, or self-image. I had always felt comfortable with my knowledge of this topic, and how it may have affected me, but this allowed me to frame my thoughts in such a way that I'm now converting many of the discussions into exercises to help me get a grip on all of those "demons" which have plauged me all my life. So, while this may not truly amount to "the only self-help book you'll ever really need", if you read this first, all of the others will surely make a lot more sense!

The recipes are her tried and true that taste like comfort food, but cooked in a shorter amount of time. Many are simple recipes while others use more of the multiple feature of the equipment at different stages. Directions are clear and straight forward. Nutrition facts help keep track of calories, carbs and fats if that is what you need to track for your own health or dietary plan. There are complete meals or just components, but all use real ingredients that give it real flavor. There are some meals that should be served right away, so that it important to know for timing as well as the best flavor and texture for the food. I've found recipes similar to what I have made before in the oven or a skillet, but not with the ease of preparation and fast time found in the recipes in this cookbook. I can buy items in bulk and use them to make variations of meat entrees or side dishes in a short amount of time. There aren't any photos of the prepared recipes, but the recipes are easy to follow and sound delicious, so that's good enough. There are a lot of recipes, so I have many choices when it comes to what I will make next.

It was really amazing to find such great collection of recipes for my instant pot. I have a few recipe books on instant pot but i wanted a bundle where i could find all variety if recipes inside a single cover this book perfectly suits my need. This is a great source of information on what equipment and stuff German infantry soldiers carried that is an absolute must for anybody interested in this period. Well written and well shown with pictures. Very much like the work of Henri-Paul Enjames' books of equipment carried by American Soldiers of WWII in europe. A great addition to any Library.I must confess I wish the author had covered more than Germany's infantry but since most German soldiers were infantrymen I guess this is not that much worth complaining for. Though I am not surprised that he does not include the beeded models Germany issued to its Civil Defense and supporting organizations, or the Gladiator helmets for them as well I must say that the section on helmets is most disapointing since it starts only with the Model 1935 and does not have any of the Pre-model 1935 models German soldiers wore in the beginning of world war two, WWI models either inherited from the Reichwehr or taken into use from the occupations of: Austria, Czechoslovakia and Poland.Perhaps like Enjames, the author could put together a second book of all that he has left out of this great work, starting with helmets and then go on to create chapters on German Army units other than Landsehrs.Overall this book is well worth getting.

I am not a WW 2 expert by any means; I am an artist by trade, so my review of this is to be measured from that parameter.I purchased this book to use for reference in creating art based on German WW 2 soldiers, and I have found it to be an invaluable resource. Everything from boots to weapons to clothes, personal items including pamphlets for good soldiering, cigarette packs, soaps, etc. is included. I don't have the expertise to declare the information contained within to be always correct, nor can I attest to the book's thoroughness in exhibiting the artifacts used by the soldiers of Germany during the war. However, as a man who uses this to create art on the subject, I can attest to the fact that the book contains far more information and pictorial reference than I could have hoped for. This is a massive volume and was evidently put together and published with great care; it's simply a beautiful book. The photography is crisp and clean, the layout is pleasing to the eye.Highly recommended, wonderful book.

This is a reference one can count on for true accurate information. Discovered information I never thought about before. If you are into modeling, history, or art for reference, you cannot go wrong.

I love this book and found it very informative. It is an overview in some ways in that detailed books about what is covered in some of the chapters exist yet I still find myself referring back to this book because it does give such a comprehensive overview. Very well written. Very detailed with excellent and detailed pictures covering uniforms, belts and buckles, gas mask, field equipment, communication, weapons, complements, documentation, decorations, health and hygiene, food, propaganda, music, tobacco, and leaisure time. An excellent addition to my small library.

Probably the best book on the subject of German uniforms and equipment that I have ever read. It is not perfect, and it does not cover every last thing that was used, but for the money it has most of what you need to know covered. I wish we had a book like this available when I started re-enacting WWII German in 1996. You kiddies don't know how good you have it when it comes to availability of information...

This book is simply incredible. You will find , simple, straight to the point information on every single item carried by the german soldier in WW2. From toothpaste to socks, from fountain pens to condoms, from shoelaces to bullets, this is the most complete book I have ever seen. The author deserves a price just for putting all this stuff together in one volume and organized in a way is super easy to read and to find what your are interested in. Is beyond words, a truly excellent publication.

It gives a nice overview of equipment. It is not as detailed or comprehensive as some other reference books, but the sharpe colour pics really are helpful in determining style and colours of equipment.

Very informative, very detailed. Very good resource for reenactors down to very small details. Disappointed there is no information on the Waffen SS and their uniforms.
