This is a cute story written with fun rhyme. It is an easy read for young children. Based on the illustrations, you see that a little boy is taken to a baseball game. Towards the middle of the story, the little boy starts saying goodnight to everything, which reminds me of the very much read older book "Goodnight Moon" written by Margaret Wise Brown. Who doesn't remember that praiseworthy enchanting book! The best part of the book however, are the illustrations by Christina Forshay (who also illustrated "The Really Groovy Story of the Tortoise and the Hare," written by Kristyn Crow.) That's why I gave it five stars! Even without the words, one could still tell what the story is about. The book has a wonderful vintage feel to it, including the front and back cover, as well as the inside front and back cover. The outside front cover is very soft and smooth. It looks far better in person--as if someone placed the title stickers on it. Same goes for the back cover. It has two vintage style tickets that includes the coded bars and pricing. You really need to see check it out.

“Goodnight Baseball” passes the audio check with its rhythm and rhyme. It passes the video check with its charming illustrations. Most importantly, it passes the Micah (my 5-year-old) check, by getting requested repeatedly. I also liked the baseball/moon at the end. It reminded me of a delightful “Peanuts” comic strip I read years ago. Stamped with the Micah Seal of Approval.

My grandson loves baseball so I got this for him and read it to him. The illustrations are nice. The story is OK. The author seems more interested in forcing a rhyme than focusing on telling a good story. It doesn't flow and feels a bit awkward to read out loud. If you can overlook that... it is a cute story.

One of my favorite books to read to my twins (who are 7 weeks old, jury is still out on if they like it or not lol). The story/poem is very sweet, easy to read aloud, and not too long or short. Very cut, baseball themed take on "goodnight moon." I also bought this for a friend.

I love this book - and so does my daughter! It's one of her favorite books to read (she's 5). There aren't too many words that she struggles with. The story follows a little boy who goes to a baseball game with his dad, sees the sights, and catches a home run. Then they go home for the night, and the second half of the book is told in "Good Night Moon" fashion - saying good night to all the things they saw and did at the baseball game. It's sweet and it will help your little one develop their much-needed love of baseball.

My 2-year-old son loves this book! Great story that is easy to read. Illustrations are great for a toddler. I am very happy we purchased this book. It is a great bedtime story to prepare your child for going to sleep.

It is a really cute book and I love the pictures. I am disappointed though because some of the pages are already falling out of the book. I bought this as a Christmas present for my son and it hasn't even been a full month. We only read this book at night before bed, and so it hasn't been used and abused by my toddler enough to already have pages falling out. Even with the pages falling out though, it is my son's favorite book to read at night.

This was SUCH a HIT! My baseball loving three yr old grandson had Mom read it to him three times in a row and when she had to get up, he just moved to Dad for another reading and then to Grandaddy. It is a sweet book, reminds me somewhat of good night moon, another favorite.
